Goodby came to Struck and asked us to help them create a site that would help stir up a buzz for the upcoming launch of Mario Super Sluggers on the Wii console. Hiding Mario baseball cards all over the internet, we created a site that allowed users to swap, combine, and share these cards together. As an intern I was responsible for creating the page layouts in Flash, animating user interactions, and also animated the Meet the Game animation. Truth-be-told I've never actually played this game, but whatever. Also - while we're on the subject of telling truths - I helped create a plethora of sound effects for this site using nothing but a crappy stereo voice recorder and my mouth.
This site was my first real experience with working crazy hours under tight deadlines, but I'm extremely proud of the work I did alongside my fellow Struckers. We created something that allowed tons and tons of loyal Mario fans to share their card collections with each other. Mission accomplished.
